Trusty (the assistant), Smart Posting and the appraisal photo checks use Claude, an AI service provided by Anthropic, to read and answer what you send.

What is sent to Anthropic when you use them: the messages you type to Trusty, any photos you attach, the text you paste into Smart Posting, the photos you take for an appraisal, and the vehicle details needed to answer (such as make, model, mileage and your allowances). Your name, contact details, documents and messages with other traders are not sent.

Anthropic processes this only to produce the response. AI answers can be wrong, so check them before relying on them. You can use the rest of Trade 2 Trade without these features, and you can withdraw your permission at any time.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Subscriber" or "You") and Trade 2 Trade ("the Company," "We," or "Us"). Please read these Terms carefully before subscribing to Trade 2 Trade. By subscribing to our platform, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Subscription and Payment

1.1. By subscribing to Trade 2 Trade, you agree to pay the monthly subscription fee, as outlined on our website, in exchange for access to our platform.

1.2. Upon subscribing, you will receive a 30-day free trial period, during which you may cancel your subscription without incurring any charges.

1.3. If you do not cancel your subscription within the 30-day free trial period, your payment will be automatically deducted, and this amount is non-refundable.

1.4. We reserve the right to change the subscription fee at our discretion, but any such changes will be communicated to you in advance.

2. Verified Trader

2.1. To subscribe to Trade 2 Trade, you must be a verified car trader.

2.2. You will receive a notification upon signing up to confirm your verified trader status.

2.3. It is your responsibility to submit the necessary proofs of your verified trader status within the 30-day free trial period. Failure to do so will result in payment being automatically deducted, and this amount is non-refundable.

2.4. Trade 2 Trade reserves the right to independently verify the documents provided by traders to ensure the authenticity of the provided documentation.

3. Deal Responsibility

3.1. Trade 2 Trade takes no responsibility for any deals, transactions, or agreements between buyers and sellers on our platform.

3.2. Any disputes or issues arising from deals done on our platform should be reported to our support team at support@trade2trade.co.uk.

3.3. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription if you breach any of these Terms and Conditions.

4. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

4.1. Trade 2 Trade reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

4.2. We will notify you of any changes to the Terms and Conditions via email.

4.3. By continuing to use our platform after any modifications to the Terms and Conditions, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.

5. Governing Law

5.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The UK.

5.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the UK.

6. Community Rules, Reporting and Blocking

6.1. You are responsible for what you post, list, send and comment. You must not post anything unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, misleading or fraudulent, including fake or inaccurate vehicle listings, spam, or attempts to take a deal or payment outside the platform dishonestly.

6.2. Every listing, comment and message has a Report option, and every trader can be reported or blocked from their profile card or conversation. Blocked traders cannot message you and you will not see their listings or comments.

6.3. We review every report within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without refund where the breach is serious.

What we collect. Account and business details, verification documents, listings, messages, bid history and usage data.

Why. To run the marketplace, verify traders, prevent fraud, and provide services like valuations and MotorCheck reports.

Sharing. Verification documents are never shown to other traders. Vehicle and bid data is visible to other verified users as needed for the marketplace to function.

AI features. If you choose to use Trusty, Smart Posting or the appraisal photo checks, what you type or photograph for them (and the vehicle details needed to answer) is sent to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI service, to generate the response. We ask your permission first; you can withdraw it under Profile → AI features and data.

Retention. We keep account and transaction records as long as needed for legal and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. That erases your profile, listings, documents and activity; bids, auction results and messages involving other traders are kept in anonymised form so their records stay accurate. You can also ask us for a copy of your data.
